Teacher Proud Tuesday

#TeacherProud Tuesdays are a Community Celebration!

The purpose of the Teacher Proud Tuesday campaign is to lift up and celebrate the profession and those currently serving, to recruit and inspire candidates to consider teaching, and to inform communities, business leaders and policymakers on the importance of public education.

This initiative is designed to tell the inspiring stories of educators who are making a difference in the lives of students. Telling these many wonderful educator stories, lifts up the professionals and promotes within communities and the state the importance of being Public Education Proud.

Let's come together to celebrate, appreciate, and elevate public education through the power of #TeacherProud Tuesdays. Together, we can make a lasting impact that resonates throughout the state.

#TeacherProud

GOCSD can’t wait to shine the spotlight on Member Districts from every corner of the region on #TeacherProud Tuesdays. These inspiring showcases will unfold across our social media channels, our website and app, and in the GONews newsletter. To secure your district's spot in the GOCSD #TeacherProud spotlight, reach out to us today.

The Teacher Proud Tuesday campaign starts in September, taking place the second Tuesday of each month, and pausing after May. All educational entities are asked to share their stories on their social media channels and websites.

This year, make #TeacherProud Tuesday a community celebration by rallying your teachers to like or share your district’s posts, as well as those from others. By gathering likes and shares we will set forth a ripple effect that magnifies the campaign's reach exponentially.

Here's how you can inspire your community to participate:

  1. Harness the Hashtag: Don't forget to include the #TeacherProud hashtag in all your posts. Let's make it trend and showcase our collective pride in the teaching profession.

  2. Amplify Engagement: Rally your dedicated teaching staff and enthusiastic community members to actively engage with the posts through likes, shares, and meaningful comments.

  3. Influence Change: Tag your local legislators and governor in your posts. Show them the unity of our educational community and remind them of the vital role teachers play in shaping the future.

  4. Extend Outreach: Extend the campaign's reach by tagging news outlets, ensuring that the story of our educators' dedication and hard work receives the attention it truly deserves.

  5. Connect with Leaders: Tag prominent educational leadership organizations, fostering a sense of camaraderie and shared purpose within the larger education landscape.

  6. Add the Teacher Proud Sticker: Incorporate the exclusive Teacher Proud sticker, a symbol of our collective commitment to promoting excellence in education.

If you are just getting started, our #TeacherProud Tuesday Toolkit is filled with helpful resources including: time-saving templates, insightful strategies, and examples.
